Last lap of 2014!

Past few months were full of surprises and the biggest one of it all is probably my new job! This opportunity came out of a sudden and despite the risks + questionable future (lols), I've decided to seize the chance and hey, how many more risks can you take while you are young? Also ever grateful to the various sponsorships that opened up ever since I took part in Datsumo's contest. #feelingloved

So despite all that craziness, there's just one thing that I can't contain my excitement about....

(I'M GOING TO SUSHI LAND!!!!)

Uber psyched!!! Cause this is a first for me and it has always been my dream destination ever since I was a school kid (hail the jpop days!). Traveling with my favorite travel buddy, me and bubz have something very special planned for this trip and WE CAN'T WAITTTTTTTTT!

Deciding on this trip was kinda impromptu, just so happened that Scoot was having this awesome possum promotion back in April (or was it Feb? they seemed to have promos any other days anyway) and traveling to Tokyo was priced at only $400++!

(thanks scoot! so gettin' outta here)

So the rest was history and we were booked for Tokyo - 29th Dec to 7th Jan! I'm not quite sure why I planned for those dates as I realized after, that most of the shops in Japan will be closed from 1st to 3rd due to new year. Thought it might be fun to experience new year in a different setting! And thanks to the JTB vouchers that I won, we are booked for this:

(Helicopter day cruising in Tokyo! + Disneyland Tickets!)

Amidst preparations, we were mulling over staying in hotels or using Airbnb. As we all know, hotels in Japan can cost an arm & leg at times, much less on new year or holiday period. As first time Airbnb users, we were taken aback by all the beautiful houses that were up for rent!

(Just look at these amazing rooms! and all these rooms are up for rental by my host, Sogi!)

With a much affordable price tag and hoping to get a taste of authentic Japanese lifestyle, Airbnb was definitely the better choice! And so we are Airbnb-ed throughout our 10 days in Tokyo (except one night in Hakone, which unfortunately we had to settle for an oddish looking hotel, eek).

To top it off, my host is extending his help to help me book tickets to Ayumi's concert!!!!

(This would be my reaction Sogi, if you are reading this)

Besides getting our flight and accommodation settled, we went on a maniac coat spree and strangely, the major stores in Sing are actually carrying a large variety of 'em (you mean we have winter?).

(COATSSSSSSSS)

(SKYFALL COLLECTION)

Also did alot of extensive research on places that we can visit, explore and because of that one really special itinerary, we are up on our toes with all the planning. CAN'T WAIT TO SHARE WHAT IT ISSSSS!

(GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH)

If you have any tips, tricks, recommendations whatsoever, I'll gladly hear it! TIA!
