I remember getting my first hard gel manicure + nail extensions done and I don't know why but long nails just give me this superbly orgasmic feel every time I, 1. flick my hair, 2. Use my phone or 3. pretending to type something important on my laptop. Every split sec of looking at ma'gorgeous long nails sends me off to a hyper mood.
Fast forward few years later, it seems like hard gel is no longer popular among the ladies anymore. Nowadays it's all about the soft gel/gelish choices! I'm no expert when it comes to the technical side of it all, but I do have an acute sense of OCD when it comes to *executing* the design that I truly want.
For me, I usually visit instagram accounts before my mani appointments and my faves are those manicurists' designs from Japan!
(Just look at theseeeeeeeeeeeee, designs to die for!)
To be honest, each and every time I show these sorta designs to various manicurists, they usually say they are certain it can be done or as close as the original (and hey, I don't expect 100% lookalike of course, considering that they don't have the exact colors or technique learnt) but I ALWAYS end up going home with screw up nails...
WHY CANT YOU JUST TELL ME YOU CANT DO EEEAAATTT?!?
WHY CANT YOU JUST TELL ME YOU CANT DO EEEAAATTT?!?
(Manicurist: you said you want polka dots what.......)
After changing a few manicurists and sticking with the safer choices like french/single colors, I've finally found Jacelyn from The Cube Salon! Thanks to my sis' recommendation ;)
I've been patronizing Jacelyn for awhile now and she hasn't disappoint me since day 1! Also, so so happy that she has engaged me to help endorse her brand and skills!
(Meet Jacelyn! The heart & soul of TheCubeSalon)
Most often than not, you don't simply just want to get your nails done. It's like a mini therapy session each time you step into salons, be it a hair/facial/nail appointment. You would want to be comfortable and at ease with your manicurist too, and Jacelyn is exactly someone like that.
She can perk you up with her funny antics and endearing charisma, she also respects your privacy should you need to be left alone with your phone, in a need to doze off.....(?) or just stare into space (tho I don't see why you want to do that). Most importantly, she lets me know in all honesty, whether she CAN or CAN'T do the designs that I request.
Should you need her to do a certain design, just send her a picture 2 weeks prior your appointment and she will practice or search the specific gems/jewels for you! Talk about dedication huh.
(Jacelyn's various accolades)
As the season of joy approaches, naturally I had a design in mind so she quickly accommodated and did her practice before my appointment!
(TADAHHHH! I name it Milky Pink Xmas!)
The jewels form a dainty, sparkly Xmas tree and look at those hand drawn snowflakes! She don't use stickers, it's all hand drawn by her! Of course, if you would like to have a more 3D effect of ém, she has snowflake stickers too :)
(Her latest works, mixture of all sorts!)
(Would you also like to have some orgasmic extensions?)
What are you waiting for?! Not only is she highly skilled, her prices are absolutely reasonable too. I know how certain shops are charging sky high prices for gelish designs without even extensions.
So fret not! The design that I requested and just posted above was only priced at $65!! (and it includes classic manicure + gelish + design). HOW IS THIS NOT WORTH GOING FOR!
(Feel free to sms her to enquire on pricings and designs! Also, quote *lyn* or show her this entry or my instagram @lynxling to enjoy a 5% off your total bill!)
Hope you girls (or maybe guys even) have a great time with Jacelyn!
