Emerald Allure x Eyelash Extensions

Sponsored Post

I have been an avid consumer for the eyelash extension business, mainly for this damning reason: I'm not good with make up, especially all that eye-shadow gradient, shading, fake eyelash, double eyelid tape, contouring, blablabla.

(Swear this happen all the time)

So, eyelash extensions are my little strands of life savers :P You can look so damn good with minimal make up on with just eyelash extensions! With them, my make up routine takes me only
15 mins and I'm outta the house.

(3 odd years back)

Back then, I used a different type of extension. These extensions as shown in the picture above, are 3 strands to one, also known as cluster extensions and will make you look dramatic and unnatural, even if you suggest to the beautician you want a natural effect.

The outcome will definitely be more obvious but bear in mind if you prefer that minimal-makeup-still-chio look, the ones above are not for you. Also, I'd prefer the current strand by strand extension, less harmful to your lashes and they look as though it's your own!

So today, let me introduce you this boutique, Emerald Allure

(The friendly and attentive lady boss!)

This beauty salon is run by Elayne single-handedly and she has all sorts of experiences when it comes to beautifying ladies out there! More about that next time!

(Legit!)

She gave me some pointers and asked for what I preferred, thereafter ran through with me the thickness, the length and the degree of the curl before we start. Talk about meticulous!

(First and foremost, removal of my previous set!)

(Bye lashes! *fake ones of course*)

(Electronic fan provided to cool off the sting)

In the midst of removal, my eyes felt a little sting-y and it has never happened before. I was wearing new contact lens that day and was probably too sensitive for the removal gel. So I would suggest ladies to avoid wearing new contacts or sensitive ones whenever you go for your appointment!

(TADAH! My own sparse and uncurled lashes)

(The hard work begins!)

If you'd notice, Elayne has prepped my eyes for an eye mask and she does that for all her clients! Just so that they can have puffy-less eyes after and enjoy the process throughout :)

(Doing this well requires some solid experience and bionic eyes)

I've been to places before that weren't very comfortable nor enjoyable. It's either they don't upkeep their shopfront or their bed is just too darn hard. I used to get up from it feeling aches and sores all over :(

But rest assured that Elayne's shop is well maintained, cozy and look at those satin sheets! Oh she even had satin blanket which is not shown in the picture XD

(Almost done!)

(Giving those lashes a final brush and drying up the glue)

(LOOK AT 'EM LASHES!!)

I AM SO PLEASED WITH THE OUTCOME! It was thick, full and curls were not too dramatic, just the way I wanted 'em!! (She even catered a vanity side table for you to touch up your make up after!)

(I also secretly wish that they are real, so they won't ever drop.)

(Even he approves)

(EA's in house products!)

After admiring the lashes she has painstakingly done for me for 50 odd minutes, she gave a special eyelash brush for the extensions and a unique sponge to clean up your inner eyelid! All clients will be entitled for their own! Eyelash coating will be sold separately :)

(You can even choose wild colors!)
